Word has come out from Deadline that Aziz Ansari and Netflix have teamed up to launch a show that will also star H. Jon Benjamin (a man who is about as busy as Netflix is), as well as Claire Danes in a guest role. I have no idea what that means for the show, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued.
The show will be co-produced by several Parks and Rec alum, including creator Michael Schur, which is good news all around.
Ansari has done two stand-up specials for Netflix, so the two have a history together. The show will go straight-to-series, and the order is for ten episodes. I think we can get a little pumped up, if for no other reason than having H. Jon Benjamin actually on camera to make jokes.
